Against Secundinus the Manichaean

Contra Secundinum Manichaeum

El retrato más antiguo de Agustín (fresco de Letrán, s. VI)
byAugustine of Hippo

A reply of around 399 to a courteous letter from the Roman Manichaean Secundinus, who reproached Augustine for leaving the sect and invited him to return. Augustine considered it the best of his anti-Manichaean works for the serenity of its exposition.
