On the Grace of Christ and on Original Sin — Augustine of Hippo

Written work

On the Grace of Christ and on Original Sin

De gratia Christi et de peccato originali libri II

El retrato más antiguo de Agustín (fresco de Letrán, s. VI)
byAugustine of Hippo

A treatise of 418, written after Pelagius's condemnation, addressed to Albina, Pinianus and Melania the Younger, who had talked with Pelagius in Palestine. Book I shows that the grace Pelagius admits is merely law and teaching; book II, that his denial of original sin is the true root of the conflict.
