Against an Arian Sermon

Contra sermonem Arrianorum

El retrato más antiguo de Agustín (fresco de Letrán, s. VI)
byAugustine of Hippo

A reply of around 419 to an anonymous Arian sermon that someone had sent him, whose text it reproduces at the start. It sets out the equality of the Son and the Spirit with the Father and answers the subordinationist propositions of the Homoian Arianism reaching Africa with the Goths.
