Magna Moralia
Ἠθικὰ μεγάλα
A compact exposition of Aristotelian ethics: the good, happiness, virtue as a mean, justice, practical wisdom, continence, pleasure and friendship. It closely follows the order of the Eudemian Ethics and in places offers simpler formulations, useful for comparing versions of the doctrine.
Authorship note
Of disputed authorship. Some hold it to be an early work by Aristotle himself; most consider it a summary of his ethics written by a student shortly after his death. Despite the title, it is the shortest of the three ethics (two books). Bekker 1181a–1213b.
