Authorship note

Spurious: transmitted in the Aristotelian corpus but written by other authors, generally later Peripatetics. A work of Nicolaus of Damascus (first century BCE), summarising Aristotle's lost treatise on plants. Bekker's Greek text is a Byzantine back-translation from Alfred of Sareshel's medieval Latin version, itself made from an Arabic one. Bekker 815a–830b.
