On Youth and Old Age, On Life and Death
Περὶ νεότητος καὶ γήρως, περὶ ζωῆς καὶ θανάτου
It places the vital principle in natural heat, whose seat in blooded animals is the heart, and explains youth, old age and death as phases of that heat, which must be cooled so as not to consume itself. Many editions present it together with the treatise on respiration.

Authorship note
A school treatise of the Aristotelian corpus, regarded as authentic. Like the other surviving treatises, it consists of Aristotle's own teaching materials rather than books meant for the public; the arrangement and titles largely derive from Andronicus of Rhodes's edition (first century BCE). It belongs to the so-called Parva naturalia (short treatises on natural history), a complement to On the Soul. Bekker 467b–470b.
