Written work
On Kingship and Alexander, or On Behalf of Colonists
Περὶ βασιλείας / Ἀλέξανδρος ἢ ὑπὲρ ἀποίκων

Political writings probably addressed to the young Alexander. From On Kingship survives the advice that the king need not philosophise but should listen to true philosophers; from the second, the report that he advised treating Greeks as a leader and barbarians as a master.

Authorship note
A lost work, surviving only in fragments and testimonies preserved by later authors. It belongs to the “exoteric” writings, intended for a wide public, which Aristotle published in his lifetime and which antiquity read more than the treatises. Two short writings that tradition links with Alexander's education.
