Lev Tolstói en Yásnaia Poliana (1908)
byLeo Tolstoy

Selection of passages from the Daodejing chosen by Tolstoy and published by Posrednik in 1910, with his essay On the Essence of Laozi's Teaching and a note by Ivan Gorbunov-Posadov. Tolstoy especially admired the concept of wu wei, which he rendered as "non-doing", and read it in harmony with Gospel non-resistance.
