नायाधम्मकहाओ (Nāyādhammakahāo) / ज्ञाताधर्मकथा (Jñātādharmakathā)

The sixth Aṅga: parables and exemplary narratives illustrating the doctrine, such as the two peacock eggs, the tortoise that withdraws its limbs or the princess Mallī, who according to the Śvetāmbaras was the nineteenth tīrthaṅkara, a woman, a point rejected by the Digambaras. It is one of the sources of the rich Jain narrative literature.

Authorship note
Canonical compilation: according to the Śvetāmbara tradition it transmits Mahāvīra's teaching as recited by his disciple Sudharman to Jambū; it was written down at Valabhī (c. 453/466 CE) and contains strata of very different periods. Mahāvīra did not write it. The Digambaras regard the original Aṅgas as lost.
