Ἐρυξίας

Prompted by some Syracusan envoys, Socrates, Eryxias and Erasistratus discuss whether wealth is a good and what exactly being rich is. Socrates argues that wealth is useful only to one who knows how to use it, and that the richest are often the most in need.

Authorship note
Spurious (Appendix Platonica): Diogenes Laertius (III 62) cites it as 'Eryxias or Erasistratus' among the acknowledged spurious works.
