Narada
Ṛgvedic hymns ascribed to Nārada (8.13; 9.104–105)
Traditional attribution
Ṛgvedic hymns ascribed to Nārada (8.13; 9.104–105)
ऋग्वेद ८.१३; ९.१०४–१०५

Hymn 8.13 is a praise of Indra, drinker of soma, in the manner of the poets of the Kāṇva family; the brief hymns 9.104 and 9.105 invite the singers to celebrate the purified soma. They are the oldest texts associated with Nārada’s name, though the ascription, fixed in later indexes, does not allow the poet to be identified with the sage of the epic.

Authorship note
The Anukramaṇī (traditional index of authors) ascribes hymn 8.13 to Nārada Kāṇva and hymns 9.104 and 9.105 to Parvata and Nārada. A traditional ascription, later than the hymns.
