《莊子·天下》

Zhuangzi en el álbum de retratos de soberanos sabios y ministros virtuosos
byZhuangzi

The first survey of Chinese philosophy: it laments that the ancients' "art of the Way" has been fragmented and reviews Mozi and his followers, Song Xing and Yin Wen, Peng Meng, Tian Pian and Shen Dao, Guan Yin and Lao Dan, Zhuang Zhou himself —described in the third person— and the paradoxes of Hui Shi and the dialecticians.

Authorship note

Miscellaneous chapter (zapian). Not by Zhuang Zhou, even though the book circulates under his name: it belongs to the schools that claimed him between the 4th and 2nd centuries BCE, and its present form is that of Guo Xiang's recension (c. 300 CE). Graham places it in the "Syncretist" layer, of early Han date, which combines the Dao with Confucian and Legalist elements.
