《莊子·田子方》

It takes its name from an adviser of Marquis Wen of Wei. Confucius surprises Lao Dan drying his hair, motionless as a log, "wandering at the origin of things"; a painter sits half-naked; Zhuangzi shows Duke Ai of Lu that his state has barely one true Confucian scholar.

Authorship note
Outer chapter (waipian). Not by Zhuang Zhou, even though the book circulates under his name: it belongs to the schools that claimed him between the 4th and 2nd centuries BCE, and its present form is that of Guo Xiang's recension (c. 300 CE). Graham assigns it to the "School of Zhuangzi", the followers closest to the inner chapters.
