Correspondence
Letter to Brother Leo
Epistola ad fratrem Leonem
A note in his own hand to his secretary and confessor: 'like a mother' he sums up in one word all they had said on the road and leaves him free to follow whatever way of pleasing God seems best to him, with his blessing. Its faulty Latin is direct evidence of his handwriting.
