Regula bullata

Fresco de «Frater Franciscus» en el Sacro Speco de Subiaco
byFrancis of Assisi

Twelve short juridical chapters that remain the rule of the Friars Minor: 'to observe the holy Gospel by living in obedience, without anything of one's own, and in chastity'. It regulates admission, office, fasting, the ban on money, work, preaching and missions. Comparing it with the 1221 rule shows what Francis conceded and what he defended.
