The Beginning of Guidance
بداية الهداية (Bidayat al-hidaya)
A short manual for the beginner that orders the believer's day, from waking to night, with the rules of prayer, fasting and companionship, and a section on the sins of the limbs and of the heart. Al-Ghazali presents it as the threshold whose practice prepares for the "end of guidance" set out in the *Ihya*.
