臘八示衆 (Rōhatsu jishu)
Exhortations for each night of the retreat commemorating the Buddha's awakening: urgency, great doubt, total surrender to the kōan. Their tone matches Hakuin's, but their transmission is monastic and oral.

Authorship note
Eight exhortations for the December week of intensive meditation that the Rinzai tradition attributes to Hakuin and reads every year; they do not appear in period collections and the attribution is not established.
