槐安国語 (Kaiankokugo)

Autorretrato de Hakuin (1767)
byHakuin Ekaku

With interlinear comments and capping verses, Hakuin vindicates the Ōtōkan lineage (Daiō, Daitō, Kanzan) as the authentic line of Japanese Zen. It is his most difficult work and the one most prized by Rinzai masters; the title alludes to the dream-kingdom of the locust tree (Kaian) in a Chinese tale.
