Dictation on the Difficult Passages of the Ihya
الإملاء على مشكل الإحياء (al-Imla' 'ala mushkil al-Ihya')
A reply to objections raised against the *Ihya*, clarifying passages accused of heresy or of excessive closeness to philosophy and distinguishing what may be said to all from what is entrusted only to the prepared. It documents the controversy the work aroused in the author's lifetime.
