Shōbōgenzō (12 fascicles), no. 6: "Kie buppōsōbō" (Taking Refuge in the Three Treasures)
正法眼蔵 歸依佛法僧寶
Undated; copied by Ejō in 1255 from the draft. It sets out the meaning of taking refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha, with abundant sutra quotations. A note by Ejō warns that Dōgen never made a fair copy.

Fascicle of the 12-fascicle collection (shinsō, "new draft"), composed in Dōgen's last years and known from the Yōkō-ji manuscript (1446 copy, found in 1936). Many remained drafts that Ejō copied in 1255.
