Shōbōgenzō, "Bendōwa" (Talk on Wholehearted Practice of the Way)

正法眼蔵 辨道話

Dōgen contemplando la luna (Tsukimi no zō)
byDōgen

Written in 1231 in the form of eighteen questions and answers. It presents zazen as the "self-fulfilling samādhi" and the oneness of practice and realisation, and answers objections about reciting the Buddha's name, laypeople, women or the decline of the Dharma. It was not part of the original collections.
