Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment (Lamrim Chenmo)
སྐྱེས་བུ་གསུམ་གྱི་ཉམས་སུ་བླང་བའི་རིམ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཚང་བར་སྟོན་པའི་བྱང་ཆུབ་ལམ་གྱི་རིམ་པ། (skyes bu gsum gyi nyams su blang ba'i rim pa thams cad tshang bar ston pa'i byang chub lam gyi rim pa)
His most widely read work and the founding text of the Geluk school. Finished in 1402 at Radreng (Reting) monastery, it expands Atiśa's Lamp for the Path into a complete course for the 'three types of person': one who seeks a good rebirth, one who seeks liberation and one who aspires to buddhahood for the sake of others. Its last two sections, on calm abiding (śamatha) and special insight (vipaśyanā), contain his mature account of emptiness and of the 'object of negation'. It fills vol. 13 (pa) of the collected works.
