Notes on the Eight Difficult Points

དཀའ་གནད་བརྒྱད་ཀྱི་ཟིན་བྲིས་རྗེའི་གསུང་བཞིན་བརྗེད་བྱང་དུ་བཀོད་པ། (dka' gnad brgyad kyi zin bris rje'i gsung bzhin brjed byang du bkod pa)

Tsongkhapa, pintura del siglo XVI (Rubin Museum of Art)
byTsongkhapa

Notes, written down according to his words, on the 'eight difficult points' that, according to Tsongkhapa, distinguish the Prāsaṅgika school: rejection of the storehouse consciousness and of reflexive awareness, conventional acceptance of external objects, rejection of the autonomous syllogism, and others. It is the text that fixed that list for the Geluk tradition. It appears in vol. 15 (ba) of the collected works, Tashi Lhunpo edition (BDRC index 15.3). No translation into a Western language was found in the catalogues consulted.
