正法眼蔵 八大人覺

Dōgen contemplando la luna (Tsukimi no zō)
byDōgen

Dōgen's last text, written at Eihei-ji on the 6th day of the 1st month of 1253. It comments on the Buddha's last teachings (having few desires, contentment, enjoying quietude, effort, not forgetting, meditation, wisdom and avoiding idle discussion). A note by Ejō says Dōgen wished to complete a hundred fascicles. According to the colophon, it was preached or written at Eihei-ji.
