The Education of the Child in the Light of Anthroposophy
Die Erziehung des Kindes vom Gesichtspunkte der Geisteswissenschaft
An essay published in Lucifer-Gnosis and then as a pamphlet, collected in GA 34. It sets out for the first time the foundations of the pedagogy that in 1919 would give rise to the Waldorf school: the seven-year periods of development, the successive 'birth' of the etheric and astral bodies, imitation in early childhood and loved authority in the second period.
