Letter to Teresa Rejadell
Carta a Teresa Rejadell (18 de junio de 1536)

His first epistolary account of the discernment of spirits: Ignatius explains to a nun tormented by scruples how to tell true consolation from the suggestions of 'the enemy', with ideas that reappear in the rules for the second week of the Exercises. It is one of the most quoted texts of his correspondence.
