Bande Mataram: Political Writings and Speeches 1890–1908
The two volumes show the journalist who gave voice to radical nationalism: the demand for complete swaraj, boycott, national education, the critique of the Moderates, and the series “The Doctrine of Passive Resistance” (April 1907). His political prose is one of the great documents of the Swadeshi movement.
