The Problem of Rebirth
It examines the doctrine of rebirth and karma from the logic of spiritual evolution: the soul returns not to pay moral debts but to grow, and karma is an instrument of that evolution rather than a law of punishment. It discusses popular and Buddhist versions of the doctrine.
