The Way to Christ
Der Weg zu Christo (Christosophia)

The only book of Böhme's printed in his lifetime (Görlitz, early 1624), at his friends' initiative. It gathers the devotional treatises on repentance, resignation and the supersensual life; later editions expanded it to nine 'little books' with the new birth, prayer, the dialogue of the two souls and divine contemplation. It is the most accessible way into his spirituality and the immediate cause of Richter's last persecution.

Authorship note
A compilation of treatises of 1622–1624 made by his friends; the 1624 printing was done, as Böhme declared before the council, without his involvement.
