Christ, the Messenger
A Los Angeles lecture in which Vivekananda presents Jesus from a Vedantic perspective: a messenger of God who embodied renunciation and love, and who is best understood within the Eastern tradition he came from. He places Christ among the great incarnations and speaks of him with a reverence that surprised his Christian audience.
Authorship note
A lecture delivered in Los Angeles in 1900 and later issued as a pamphlet. No Spanish edition located; the Spanish title is a descriptive translation.
