Tripartite Work (prologues) — Meister Eckhart

Written work

Tripartite Work (prologues)

Opus tripartitum: Prologus generalis, Prologus in opus propositionum, Prologus in opus expositionum

Fraile dominico identificado tradicionalmente con Eckhart (Andrea di Bonaiuto, Via Veritatis)
byMeister Eckhart

The general prologue sets out the plan of a summa in three parts and states the central thesis of his metaphysics, 'esse est deus', together with the general terms (being, one, true, good) that properly belong only to God. It is the key to reading his Latin commentaries and, according to much scholarship, his German sermons as well.
