Letters (Maktubat)
مکتوبات (Maktubat)

Letters addressed to sultans, viziers, judges and relatives, largely to intercede for disciples, debtors or widows, recommend someone or settle domestic matters, such as Sultan Walad's marriage to Salah al-Din's daughter. They belie the image of a mystic aloof from the world and document his social standing in Seljuq Konya under Mongol overlordship.
