The Course of My Life (Autobiography)
Mein Lebensgang. Eine nicht vollendete Autobiographie (GA 28)
An autobiography published in seventy instalments in the weekly Das Goetheanum (December 1923 – April 1925) and broken off by his death at the year 1907. It narrates his childhood, his education in Vienna, the Weimar and Berlin years and the path to Theosophy, taking particular care to show continuity between the philosopher and the esotericist. It is both a principal source and a construction of his own image.
