The Marital Garland of Letters to Arunachala (Aksharamanamalai)

அருணாசல அக்ஷரமணமாலை

Retrato de Ramana Maharshi por G. G. Welling (1948)
byRamana Maharshi

One hundred and eight Tamil stanzas, arranged alphabetically, in which the soul addresses Arunachala (the mountain as a form of Shiva) in the language of the bride asking for union with her spouse. It is his most openly devotional work and shows that in Ramana the paths of knowledge and devotion were not separate. It is the hymn devotees were singing on the night of his death.
