Wang Bi's Commentary on the Laozi
老子道德經注 (王弼)

A philosophical commentary that reads the Daodejing from the notion of non-being (wu) as the ground of all that is. It fixed the 81-chapter division and the Dao–De order. Its metaphysical reading shaped the "Study of the Mysterious" (xuanxue) school and all later reception, including the Western one.

Authorship note
The work of Wang Bi (226–249), not of Laozi. Included because its base text was, until 1973, the reference version of the Daodejing.
