Cristo Pantocrátor del Sinaí
byJesus of Nazareth

A collection of Jesus's "unwritten" words transmitted outside the four gospels, such as "it is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35). M. R. James gathered them in 1924 with their sources; later research, from Jeremias onwards, has debated which may go back to the historical Jesus.

Authorship note

Not an ancient work but the category with which modern scholarship groups sayings attributed to Jesus that do not appear in the canonical gospels: in Acts 20:35, in Paul, in manuscripts such as Codex Bezae, in Church Fathers and in Muslim authors. Their authenticity varies from saying to saying.
