byGuru Nanak

A collection of stories (sakhis) about Nanak's life, considered the oldest of the janamsakhi traditions. It includes the episode of the Bein river, the journeys in the four directions, the encounter with Babur and the death. The B40 manuscript in the British Library, copied in 1733, preserves an illustrated version.
