Mi'raj-nama (Book of the Ascension)
Traditional attribution
Mi'raj-nama (Book of the Ascension)
معراجنامه (Mi'raj-nama)

A short poem on the Prophet's night ascension (*mi'raj*), a usual theme of the prologues of Persian masnavis. Its brevity and form suggest it was detached from the *na't* of a larger work. Its interest is mainly philological: it shows how fragments of the great poems circulated as independent works.
No edition of this work is currently on sale in a store we have been able to verify.
Authorship note
A very short poem that Ritter placed in his first group, that of the authentic works; it looks like a fragment of the praise of the Prophet (*na't*) from a larger masnavi.
