Guru Nanak
Kuchaji and Suchaji, raga Suhi
Written work
Kuchaji and Suchaji, raga Suhi
ਕੁਚਜੀ / ਸੁਚਜੀ (ਸੂਹੀ)

Two complementary poems in raga Suhi: the inept wife (kuchaji), who has wasted her life and does not know how to please the Husband, and the virtuous wife (suchaji), who receives everything from him. An example of the nuptial language in which Nanak speaks of the soul.
