Sayings of the Confucian School (Kongzi jiayu)
孔子家語

Forty-four chapters that expand, with longer and more colourful narratives, what the Analects barely hint at: the Jiagu meeting, the Master's upbringing, his conversations with the dukes. It is the source of much of the popular image of Confucius and must be used with caution.

Authorship note
A collection of the Master's anecdotes and dialogues edited by Wang Su in the 3rd century. Long regarded as Wang Su's forgery, the Han manuscripts found at Dingzhou (1973) and Fuyang (1977) show that part of its material is earlier.
