bySeraphim of Sarov

The longest nineteenth-century life, based on monastery archives and witnesses' accounts, which fixed many details of the tradition, such as the fall from the bell tower, and put in Seraphim's mouth an explicit condemnation of the Old Believer rite that some authors attribute to synodal censorship.
