A large anthology of Arabic prose pieces and stories translated by Anthony Rizcallah Ferris and edited by Martin L. Wolf (Citadel Press). Together with Secrets of the Heart (1947), Tears and Laughter (1947) and The Voice of the Master (1958), it forms the English corpus through which Gibran's Arabic work has been read.
