Explanatio Regulae sancti Benedicti
A short commentary on the Rule of Saint Benedict focused on its practical points (food, clothing, sleep, work, the reception of guests) and on discretion as the abbot's virtue. Hildegard defends a moderate observance, without rigours that break the body, in keeping with her medicine of measure.
