Describes realisation as nirvana attained on birth in the Pure Land and the return to the world to save others (gensō ekō), also transferred by Amida, relying above all on Tanluan's commentary.

Authorship note
Shinran's work in classical Chinese, composed as an annotated anthology of passages from sutras and treatises. The autograph Bandō copy (Higashi Honganji, National Treasure) shows revisions over decades.
