Kyōgyōshinshō, ch. 1: Chapter on Teaching
顕浄土真実教行証文類 教巻
A short chapter identifying the true teaching with the Larger Sutra of Immeasurable Life, in which the Buddha reveals the vows of the bodhisattva Dharmākara, the future Amida. It presents Amida's twofold transference of merit, towards birth and back into the world.

Authorship note
Shinran's work in classical Chinese, composed as an annotated anthology of passages from sutras and treatises. The autograph Bandō copy (Higashi Honganji, National Treasure) shows revisions over decades.
