Kyōgyōshinshō (The True Teaching, Practice and Realization of the Pure Land Way)
顕浄土真実教行証文類

Shinran's major doctrinal work and the founding text of Jōdo Shinshū. In six chapters —Teaching, Practice, Shinjin, Realization, True Buddha and Land, Transformed Buddhas and Lands— it gathers and comments on hundreds of passages from sutras and the seven Pure Land patriarchs to show that everything, from practice to entrusting, is transferred by Amida. It includes the "Hymn of True Shinjin and the Nembutsu" (Shōshinge) and an autobiographical postscript.

Authorship note
Shinran's work in classical Chinese. The school dates its first draft to 1224, in Kantō; by 1247 he allowed it to be copied, and he kept correcting it until his death. The autograph survives (Bandō copy, Higashi Honganji, National Treasure).
