Opera minora (Explanatio Regulae Benedicti, Explanatio Symboli Athanasii, Vita sancti Disibodi, Vita sancti Ruperti, Solutiones XXXVIII quaestionum)
Commissioned texts showing Hildegard as a teacher of monastic life and a consulted theologian: in the Solutiones she answers on the soul, the angels, Genesis and the Book of Job with the same visionary authority as in her major works. The lives of Disibod and Rupert are the only hagiographies she wrote.

Authorship note
A set of short writings: a commentary on the Rule of Saint Benedict, another on the Athanasian Creed, the lives of Saint Disibod and Saint Rupert (patrons of her two monasteries) and the answers to thirty-eight theological questions sent by the monks of Villers (1176). Critical edition: Opera minora, CCCM 226 (2007) and 226A (2016).
