Homilies on the Gospels
Expositiones evangeliorum

The only surviving collection of homilies by a medieval woman. Hildegard explains each pericope two or more times with different keys (the history of salvation, the individual soul, creation), in an allegorical method of great freedom that turns, for instance, the parable of the prodigal son into a drama of soul and body.
