One of the few books Krishnamurti wrote as such. It argues that conventional education produces adapted and fearful individuals, and that its true function is to help one understand the whole process of life, not merely to earn a living. It includes chapters on the teacher's authority, discipline, religion and the role of parents; it is the reference text of his schools.
