दत्तात्रेययोगशास्त्र (Dattātreyayogaśāstra)
A treatise of 193 verses that distinguishes four kinds of yoga (mantra, laya, haṭha and rāja) and devotes most of its exposition to haṭhayoga. It is the first text to combine Patañjali's eight-limbed yoga, which it ascribes to Yājñavalkya, with physical techniques: breath retentions, the inverted posture and ten practices later called mudrās, among them khecarī, mahāmudrā, jālandhara and vajrolī. The Haṭhapradīpikā borrows many of its verses.

Authorship note
An anonymous text placed in the mouth of Dattātreya, who teaches it to Sāṅkṛti. Mallinson dates it to around 1200 and places it in South India; others assign it to the thirteenth century.
